My Haunted Halloweekend

Due to the calendar this year, I celebrated Halloween over the past two weekends, and wow, am I tired. Two weekends ago, on the weekend of October 25th, I kicked off the festivities by heading to Ohio University with a couple of friends. After classes on Friday I met up with two friends from Ohio State University, and we all went to OU to meet up with another friend who goes there. After grabbing Jimmy Johns,  headed to Ohio University to kick off the celebrations with a couple friends. I met up with two of my friends who go to Ohio State University, then we headed to OU and met up with a friend who goes there. We got Jimmy Johns, which was delicious, we began getting ready for the night. One friend was eager to go as the Joker, so we made it a group costume. She dressed as the Joker, another friend went as the Queen of Hearts, and I chose Catwomen, all from the DC Universe.

The night was a blast, and the next morning we fueled up at the local coffee and sandwich shop. I stuck with my usual: an iced chai with a shot of espresso and a chicken sandwich melt. This definitely helped me recharge after a late night. Later that afternoon, I returned to ada. On a whim, I decided to check out the local bar, the Reagle Beagle, where I dressed as a vampire. It was not much more than black clothes and some fake blood on my face, but it worked. It was a fun night of seeing people's costumes and hanging out with friends.

This past weekend, the true "Halloweekend" for most people I know, I headed to the Ohio State University on Friday after classes. My friend had a date party for her sorority, so we went there first. I talked to some of her friends I knew, but the highlight was ordering a Crunch wrap at the bar. It was 10 times better than anything I've had at Taco bell. My friend and I devoured it in minutes.

After the date party, we headed to her house to change into our costumes. I went as Charli XCX, the popular singer, and my friend dressed as a runaway bride. After a few hours on the town, we ended the night with a large Domino's pizza. It was the best way to end the long night.

The next day, on my way home, I stopped at Dunkin' to try one of their newly released festive drinks. I got an iced coffee with cookie crumble cold foam, and it was amazing. That amazing, I dressed as Michelle from Derry Girls. For those who have not seen it, Derry Girls is a Netflix sitcom about a group of friends in Ireland, and it is one of my all-time favorites. For my costume, I recreated the school uniform from the show, thrifting a sweater and a button-up, adding a patch to the sweater, and ordering a skirt online. It was a comfortable yet fun costume. I had a great time at Reagle, where they were hosting a Halloween party,

This Halloween was one to remember. As it is my senior year, I'm glad I got to spend time with so many of my friends over these past two weekends.\

  1. Sounds like you had a solid couple of weekends packed with fun. I like how you hit up both Ohio University and Ohio State definitely a good way to make the most of Halloween. The Charli XCX costume was a cool choice, and I can’t believe that Crunchwrap was better than Taco Bell’s. Glad you got to spend time with friends and make the most of your senior year Halloween!
