Inside Vogue's YouTube Success

Nearly everyone I know watched YouTube, whether for gaming, fashion, entertainment, or a variety of other popular topics. Personally, I primarily use YouTube for fashion and entertainment, with my favorite channel being Vogue. Their bio reads, "The home for all of Vogue's beauty tutorials and tips," and they deliver with this promise by creating captivating, engaging and, entertaining videos.

While Vogue is traditionally known as a print magazine, they've expertly adapted to social media to create an immersive, engaging content across platforms, with YouTube as one of their core ones. Among their popular video series are Vogue Beauty Secrets and 73 Questions. In Vogue Beauty Secrets, distinguished celebrities or well-known figures within the fashion and beauty world share their beauty tips and favorite makeup products. Meanwhile, the 73 Questions series offers a rapid-fire Q&A format, giving viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the homes and lives of popular celebrities like Taylor Swift and Kendall Jenner.

Vogue's YouTube channel also hosts series like Inside the Wardrobe and In the Bag. Inside the Wardrobe takes viewers into the celebrities' closets, showcasing their favorite pieces and style essentials, while In The Bag reveals the items they carry daily in their bags, from Balenciaga purses to Dior totes. These series not only provide a glimpse into the lives of high-profile celebrities but also increase awareness for the products they feature.

Content quality is also a major component of engagement on Vogue's YouTube channel, but their strategic approach also plays a significant role. They publish multiple times a week to boost search rankings and, their use of influencers and celebrities had solidified their brand image. They have also leveraged live streaming, which allows followers to engage with Vogue in real time. Notably, they have streamed major events like the Met Gala and the recent Vogue World event in Paris, offering behind-the-scenes access for viewers and increasing engagement.

Vogue also organizes their videos into playlists, which makes it easier for viewers to find related content and encourages longer viewing times. These playlists cover events such as the Met Gala, the Paris Olympics and, the New York Fashion Week. They also take advantage of YouTube Shorts by posting clips of Victoria Secret's shows, snippets from celebrity podcasts and, influencer beauty routines.

Overall, Vogue leverages every tool YouTube offers to create engaging, diverse content that builds their brand and keeps followers coming back for more.
